After a restful night, enjoy a day of sightseeing around Leh. Visit Shanti Stupa, a white domed Buddhist stupa offering panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. Explore Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill due to a unique optical illusion. Visit the Hall of Fame Museum to learn about the history of Ladakh and the bravery of Indian soldiers, followed by a visit to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a peaceful Sikh shrine. Explore Leh Palace for a glimpse into the region’s royal past and finish your day at Sangam Point, where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet.
Today, you will embark on an exciting journey to Nubra Valley. After breakfast, drive through the Khardung La Pass, the world’s highest motorable road at 18,380 feet. The drive offers stunning views of snow-capped mountains and wide valleys. Upon arrival in Nubra Valley, you can visit the Diskit Monastery and enjoy a unique camel safari at Hunder Sand Dunes. Experience the thrill of riding a double-humped Bactrian camel, a distinctive feature of the region.
After breakfast, travel to the charming village of Turtuk, a hidden gem near the POK border. This picturesque village offers a unique cultural experience, as it is one of the last remaining Balti settlements in India. Explore the village’s traditional Balti architecture, scenic beauty, and warm hospitality. Visit the Turtuk Monastery and interact with the locals to learn about their way of life.
Today, you will drive towards Pangong Lake, one of Ladakh’s most famous attractions. The drive takes you through the stunning Shyok River route, offering scenic views of barren mountains, vast plains, and pristine landscapes. Upon arrival at Pangong Lake, be mesmerized by the ever-changing colors of the water, ranging from turquoise to deep blue. You will stay in lakefront cottages, offering a serene and unforgettable experience by the lake.
After spending the night near the lake, head back to Leh via Changla Pass. Located at 17,590 feet, Changla Pass is the third-highest motorable road in the world. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Upon reaching Leh, you’ll have the evening to relax and reflect on your journey.
On the final day, after breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the Leh Airport for your departure. Bid farewell to Ladakh, carrying memories of a lifetime from this enchanting region.
